The event was held in the Celtic Hutdeep in the forest in Neihaischensurrounded by deep snow but cosy inside thanks to the log fires and warm atmosphere generated by a hive of activity. The afternoon consisted of singing some Christmas songs around a campfire alongside which they were selling Mulled Wine and other drinks as well as Christmas baked treats. a children's Lucky Dip and Raffle were also held.
The RainbowsBrownies and Guides all participated in the sing-song which included classics such as Jîngle BellsWhen Santa Got Stuck up the chimneyRocking Around the Christmas TreeRudolph the Red Nosed ReindeerSanta Claus in Coming to Townwhite ChristmasWinter Wonderlandand We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
The event raised €650of which €350 will be going to "Chiens Guides d'Aveugles au Luxembourg" (Luxembourg Guide Dogs for the Blind) and the rest to Girl Guiding in Luxembourg.
The British Ambassador to LuxembourgAlice Walpolealso supported this event along with embassy staff. Two guide dogs and their masters attended tooMatthias Schmitt and his wife and their dog Urakand also Renée and her dog Guinnessfrom Chiens Guides d'Aveugles au Luxembourg. Rangers leader Rebecca Gollackner alsom mentioned that the Rangers are looking for volunteers - please contact: dcluxembourg@gmail.comdcluxembourg@gmail.com.

Deep Amid the Winter Snow for Ranger Guides
Yesterdaythe Ranger section of the British Guides in Luxembourg held a Christmas Family Afternoon for friends and family of girls involved in Guiding here in Luxembourg.The event was held in the Celtic Hutdeep in the forest in Neihaischensurrounded by deep snow but cosy inside thanks to the log fires and warm atmosphere generated by a hive of activity.
